Solo Piano | Jazz Suite Clarity of Vision
For Stage 7 of the NextSteps Series Projects I am currently working on a follow-up of my Jazz Suite Roots & Reflections. In February of 2021 I started composing a new Jazz Suite and through the years it has grown (out of control ;-)) into another solo piano album that I am going to call Jazz Suite Clarity of Purpose, in three parts:
Part I | Sense of Purpose
Part II | Sense of Direction
Part III | Sense of Urgency
Each part consists of 15 compositions, this time mainly focusing on arrangements of various jazz standards, with less original compositions (13 out of 45). All compositions are ready but I am still working on structure, form and execution. It’s a lot of fun.
Eventually I will pre-record this brand new Jazz Suite on video, at home and publish the results on YouTube and on this site respectively. Based on these pre-recordings I will again ‘dive into the studio’, probably in the Summer of 2025, and record all compositions and arrangements solo on the grand piano, to be released on all streaming platforms by the fall of 2025.
