Three Part Jazz Suite ‘Clarity of Vision‘
For Stage 7 of the NextSteps Series Projects I have a worked on a follow-up of my Jazz Suite ‘Roots & Reflections‘ recorded in 2018/2019 and published in October of 2019. After a short break I started composing a new Solo Piano Jazz Suite in February of 2021. Through the years it has grown (out of control) into another 3CD Jazz Album that I am calling Jazz Suite ‘Clarity of Vision‘, in three parts:
Part 1 | Sense of Purpose
Part 2 | Sense of Direction
Part 3 | Sense of Urgency
Each part consists of 8 CD-tracks + 7 ‘leftovers’, in total 45 compositions and arrangements, one half original compositions and one half arrangements of various jazz standards. The 24 CD-tracks have been recorded at the Volver Studio in Tilburg on a sublime Concert Grand Piano, the Fazioli F308. The 21 leftovers I have recorded at home, at my faithful Yamaha U1 upright piano, that supported me all through the 5 years it took to get to this point. It’s been great!
